The media admires people who are sure of their decisions and know exactly what they want to do right off the bat. They know what they want, how to get there, they get up every morning and go for it. Boy, would I like to know what those people eat for breakfast everyday.
Take a moment to stop and think… How many people actually fit this mold and how many people are pretending to fit this mold? When you really go out and talk to people you notice that the ones that seem the most sure of themselves weren’t always in this place from the get-go. They went through some shit to get there. Minuscule or major shit but shit regardless. Yeah I know… the word “shit” doesn’t sound classy. But guess what? that’s cause it’s not! When you’re elbows deep in self dissatisfaction, hitting your head against the steering wheel of your car cause that’s the only place you can go and just explode … well.. what’s classy?
Where am I going with this?
Whatever you embark yourself on will always bring it’s trials and tribulations. No doubt about it. That being said, you go down one path, brakes down, reverse, screech, that’s not the right one. Okay try another. Not here either.. oh well.. jump again. One time, no two times, back here now do the hokey pokey. Now where to? Your friends call you and they’re like “Where do you live now? You move around a lot.” I sure do! Been chasing my own tail since 1994!
That’s right. Chasing my OWN tail. Trying to figure it out. I once heard that the answer lies within the question. We’re constantly evolving and passions do change. However, do not be afraid to look within!
Within is where you will find the answers you seek. By placing yourself in different situations, different places, different attitudes you learn. You learn what feels wrong, what feels right, what you want, and what you don’t want. But how will you know if you never go out and take the first step? If it is within you to go out and explore now why must you feel limited to wait. Everybody has an abstract picture of what the future looks like. I say abstract because you should always leave some room for uncertainty. The future is not clear. The doubt within of “I don’t know how I’m going to get there.” is the same doubt that peaks your interest in learning about ways… that you don’t know yet… of how to get there.
So take a look inside. Life’s not as narrow as you may think it is.
